Garden of the Fugitives
Currently a chapbook, Garden of the Fugitives will become my first full length book of poetry. This manuscript explores themes of refuge, captivity, and escape while moving through the terrains of the body, the city, the garden, and the wilderness all to make sense of death, family, fear, love, safety, and violence.
Divisible Cities will be a photographic essay with accompanying poems that illuminate and interrogate the dichotomies of contemporary America through an imaginative yet naturalistic examination of New Orleans.
Poetry & The Empire
Still in the planning and development stages, Poetry & the Empire will be an anthology of poetry and critical prose that interrogate the historical and contemporary roles of the poet and poetry in the rise and fall of world empires.
